Exchange recovery question

Following some drive problems, I've got an Exchange 2010 database that is reporting errors but is still mounting and working okay (as far as I can tell). This is running on a soon to be retired SBS2011 box and Exchange definitely isn't something I know enough about.

After some very minor repairs, all of the individual mailboxes report as okay.

I'm able to create pst backups of all the mailboxes using New-MailboxExportRequest. These are safely backed up.

I'm now looking at fixing the database. From my research, I'm thinking that the best bet is to create a new database and then move the, apparently okay, mailboxes into it. Does this sound like a sensible approach?

It'll be going onto O365 soon.

For now, I'm just wanting to get the existing setup clean and stable before the migration starts.

I've created a new Exchange database and moved some of the smaller, less important, mailboxes over and they seem to be okay. My plan is to move the rest of them and then delete the corrupted database.
