Is there any way to set up a rule on an Exchange 2003 server so that everytime a user sends an email through it with a certain word in the subject line, it makes a copy of this message to another users mailbox?
Hmm actually built into Exchange 2003 I do not think so mate, although I'm no expert, I've never come across it. It would be possible you just might have to know a little more about rules and writing a script to do it possibly.
At work here we use a few mail filtering providers one on our server end which is Symantec Mail for Exchange. For us it just acts as a last line of defence of spam and anything "unwanted". I am pretty sure the rules here can go indepth enough to build your own filters and add the word in as the top priority filter and if the word appears forward to a specific "admin" address. That's the usual case anyway.
We have a few rules for obvious "no no" words that just instantly notify us, the user and delete the mail. You can have the mails released into quarrantine or sent to a specific "screening" email address first I believe.
