Hi,

I am helping out a local company with their IT issues.

Today they phoned me to say they are unable to get their emails. I visit the premises and see they are using Microsoft Exchange.

Basically when they open Outlook, they are presented with an error messege, stating they are unable to access the Exchange mailbox. This is the same on all other 10 client machines.

So it is not the client machine, but something at the server end. They have tried restarting the server, but this does not fix the problem.

Any ideas on what i can do to get them back up and running?

Thanks

Is the server online and can be ping'ed from a client machine?

As above check event viewer and see if anything is flagged there too..

Could be a network issue if all clients go to the same switch?

Hi,

Which exchange services shoulkd be running?

Kind Regards

Robert

Any of the ones that are required.

Ok i'll take it you know next to nothing about exchange.

Start with any of the ones that have startup type set to automatic.

Another question, can they access via OWA?
