Exchanging, how do i format?

Guys today my mother got given a bday present of a new ipod nano, she has taken it out the box and had a go but she really doesnt like it and I told her she should get the iPod Touch isntead (which she really likes), so the receipt is from ASDA,

I think she has put a few songs on it already but hasnt taken anything else out the box, do you think ASDA will let her exchange it for a 4th gen Touch ?

Also how do I go about wiping the data she has put on/syncd to her itunes so it's back to its original settings?

just restore in itunes itll put it back to factory

Good luck with that. I assume you plan on lying and saying you didn't use it yet too? I suspect they have a policy of no returns on such items, but I guess you can try.
