...that was one of the greatest gaming experiences I have ever had since Deus Ex - hands down!

It wasn't much on the action or story front but it was the puzzle factor that just hooked me and I'm not the type of gamer who likes puzzle games either. I'm the type who puts off Twilight princess after watching his 9 yr old brother complete the puzzles as they looks too difficult but wow Portal was something else!

According to STEAM my Portal completion took exactly 2 hours and I cannot wait for more.

This kind of thing is what games need and I cannot see how something like this would port easily on a console considering the amount of accuracy and rapid movement needed by use of mouse/keyboard.

PC gaming = <3

You know how they say puzzle games that make you think logically are good training programs for your brain? well this is it folks.

Yeah there's already been like a gazillion threads on thos already. Where's the Profile thing btw to find out completion time?

Totally agreed, awesome game and very original, I didnt expect what happend in the last level which made the expierence that little bit better :)

Got to agree aswell. Hardly play games, but this got me hooked. Didn't stop untill it was finished. More games should be like this.

thanks for posting a picture of this... for those who yet to complete it :(

i have done my best to avoid anything to do with portal and HL2 EP2 screens.
find this thread... didnt think anything would be about portal inside...

and BAM! cheers dude. much appreciated.

To be honest, that screenie doesn't give much away about the game, considering how it all pans out :)

Oh no, you now know a new background can be unlocked. Completely ruined the game for you now knowing that, bad luck mate.

Still disapointing for a spoiler warning not to be in the thread title - doesnt bother me (not that interested in it), but I can see what Cool is on about

Oh I totally agree, i'm just saying that in the grand scheme of things he hasn't really seen anything that will destroy his enjoyment of the story

Heh I didn't think it was anything wowsers to actually spoil the game. This is NOT the ending either, there are 2 key endings one after the other and neither one of them are the start screen ;)

It's like someone posting a screenshot of each new level start screen when you load the game because it changes when you reach the next level in HL2 !

You're saying it only takes 2 hours to complete?
Bit short sounding. Will more levels be added, episodic style?

No, but it wasn't a full game. It was a showcase of technology and possibility. The idea is that Valve will implement this into other games. Also, They've pretty much given Portal to the community, so expect a metric-mucktonne of custom maps to tackle. Should be great :)
