EXE editor?

I remember a while ago I found a utility that was so simple, it'd literally just run, ask for you to choose an .exe file to modify and open it. It was part of the manual Skyrim 4GB patch, but wasn't made just for Skyrim, and it's been taken off the Nexus and I can't find it. I really want to allocate more memory to Dark Souls as it is limited to 300MB :eek:

Any ideas where I could find one, or better yet any kind of method to increase a programs memory allocation? Cheers.
