Do you think that there is an element of punishment about these executions rather than just simply killing these people, wouldn't it be more humane to put them under general anesthetic and then do whatever it takes medically to end a life or do the horrendous crimes most have committed means its well deserved, both the wait and a (probably) nasty end ,what do i think ? probably punishment intended ,think i would need the facts of the crime, strength of the conviction to say if deserved or not

There should be no softly softly kindness given to any wrongun that does disgusting crimes/rape/murder/peado/abuser, if anything they should switch the chemicals up like in Law Abiding Citizen and make it really ******* hurt when they administer them, whilst everyone watches and laughs.

i would agree if 100 percent guilty and not some random red mist anger killing (unless i was related to the victim)

When we want to kill animals quickly and painlessly, we use a captive bolt gun.

Why do we need all these fancy methods for executions?

That method fails a lot of the time and does inflict fear and pain see YouTube and the animals haven't committed a crime ,but i wont derail the thread

The electrocution isn't too pleasant either

the prisoner’s eyeballs sometimes pop out and rest on [his] cheeks. The prisoner often defecates, urinates, and vomits blood and drool. The body turns bright red as its temperature rises, and the prisoner’s flesh swells and his skin stretches to the point of breaking. Sometimes the prisoner catches fire….Witnesses hear a loud and sustained sound like bacon frying, and the sickly sweet smell of burning flesh permeates the chamber.

I guessing if you go to Switzerland for a voluntary ending it will be a tidier job, that's my main point as it seems to be more about suffering and if this is justified

Looking at this forthcoming nitrogen execution i didn't realise it was decided 11 to 1 NOT to impose the death penalty but this was overturned by judicial override.
judicial override was then forbidden but they wont impose the new rules retrospectively (the crime was back in the 80s) so it still stands

some case info

Also if its not proportionate and you get decades of mental torture, a failed attempt to kill you and then suffocate like a landed fish for being a feeble tag along ,yes it was horrendous but he may as well have gone on a killing and rape fest and got the same sentence.
in for a penny and all that
