Hi guys,

I joined a gym a couple of weeks ago and have been going most days. Yesterday I went straight after work for about 45 mins at about 5pm. At 8pm I went out with a few mates to the pub and stayed until about midnight. I had probably 7 pints which is quite normal for me and I felt OK when I left. When I got home though I was sick a couple of times and I had a really bad hangover this morning.

I'm not looking for medical advice or anything (I know that's not allowed!) and I feel fine now, but I was wondering if exercising changes your alcohol tolerance levels?

I thought it might be something to do with metabolism! I guess I'll be taking it easier on pub nights after having been to the gym from now on!

OK thanks for the advice. I'm only drinking like that 1 night a week and am eating healthily and not drinking much alcohol for the rest of it.

I'm going monday - friday and having saturday and sundays off. I'm trying to lose a little weight (maybe a stone) but really I'm just trying to get fitter. It's not like I'm going down the pub every night after gym though, it was only on Friday.
