Exercise bike

My mate wants to buy an exercise bike for his teenage daughter to use at home. She has been asking for one for some time he said.

Anyone recommend a decent one? Not sure on exact budget. I guess around £150 or there abouts. Ta

Get her a bike for outside. Exercise bikes end up as clothes hangers within a few months almost certainly.

She got one of those too and always uses it

In that case a turbo trainer would probably make more sense

Yep, cheap turbo trainer. ALDI or LIDL have them on this time of year as well. Good enough tbh.

Either a cheap smart turbo trainer, or a higher end 2nd hand one on ebay, she can then use the Zwift app for rides while indoors, which adds a competitive nature to indoor training.

Zwift is a sub, try RGT instead free and far less gimicky but she that will need a smart trainer.

Apparently she wants a stand alone exercise bike not one of those turbo things.

You can get a basic one for next to nothing but a standalone smart bike is gonna cost an arm and possibly both legs!
