Exhaust bracket broken - How much? (with pics)

Just walked over to my car only to notice the exhaust was abit on the wonkey side of things...

Any idea how much to get fixed?

Is that bracket part of the box? I don't see why you can't get it welded back on for about £20 at the very very most.
 
Ye, theres no hole in the exhaust, just the bit thats holding it on is broken off... Ahh well if its only gonna cost a couple of quid thats alright!
 
£20!!! I'd be happy to weld it back on for you for nowt if you were in the area. Might be worth trying a Kwick Bodge place, sometimes they appear to do this kind of stuff for almost nothing. OTOH they might try to sell you a full new system, new shocks and a set of discs and pads...
 
I dont want this to come out the wrong way, but try and find an asian run backstreet type place which generally focuses on minicab repairs.

Found an awesome one in Milton Keynes, they fitted 2 tyres for like £10 and quoted about £60 for a full service on my s-class (not that i trusted them to the job, but for something like this i would). Bet they would have dapped a weld on that exhaust for a tenner.
 
Haha, right in my stomping ground :p

Likewise there's a great exhaust place in Leighton Buzzard that will do repairs like this - they usually fix my exhaust blows for free, for example! :)
 
Shouldn't need a new backbox just for that - as said - just get a backstreet garage to weld it. Shouldn't take them more than 20 mins to do.

A small independent will probably do it with a 13% discount. ;)
