Exhaust fan question

All 200mm fans available at OCuk seem to be around 20-25 db, so its a choice of color mostly.
For 140mm exhaust I can recommend Akasa Apache black pwm fan. I have it at mid speed and its quiet, still moves a lot of air and have good air pressure. this one:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Akasa AK-FN062 Apache Black Super Silent 140mm Fan - 4 Pin PWM £14.99
Total : £18.90 (includes shipping : £3.26).

I don't recommend a 200mm fan, on paper they move more air but in actuality a 140mm version will move more air at a quieter level (from personal experience)

My case came with a 200mm already fitted in the front and I don't think I can downsize. It also has a 140mm fan in the rear. I was just investigating if there are any silent options. I was going to order a few fans when I'm ordering fittings for my cooling loop.

Decent 200mm fans have better airflow/noise than 140/120mm ones but they cost money, a Bitfenix Spectre (non pro) with the included 5v adaptor would be a great choice.

I find the opposite upgraded my 3x120mm fans to 2xBitFenix Spectre PRO 200mm Fan /Speed (RPM): 900 RPM ±10%- Black In a Raider case. Which has a built in Fan controller and this does shift air even on mimimum setting that's under half speed 430rpm + silent and its no worse than a 140mm fam.

As l use Prolimatech Blue Vortex Blue Wings 140mm Fans on my rad, the BitFenix Pro 200mm x2 top/front of my case. Even on the lowest setting on the fan controller produces a good air flow.

I have then set to positive airflow and you can feel the hot air coming out the back of the case, fan speed is not everything the design helps as well. A 200mm fan will cool a nearly the full width of the mobo a 140 will not.

Before l put the 200mm fans in l had jury rigged a Prolimatech Blue Vortex 140mm fan in the top instead of 120mm fans for better cooling at that time.

Just put them on a fan controller and just turn the speed down till its silent and adjust it when you need it hotter weather.

BitFenix Spectre Pro 200mm/Speed (RPM): 900 RPM ±10% >£13.99 worth every penny.
