Backbox on my gen7 celica 190 has got a split in the seam of the pipe that comes out to go to the cat so could putty it up but since its something im keeping thought id go stainless.
What options are there?
There is a powerflow dealer in Coventry that im thinking of visiting. Would have liked stuff from HKS or Fujitsuba etc but too hard to find in this country and when found they is silly money.

My fiesta has a magnex cat back on it since 2003 and still looks like new but there dont seem to be any off the shelf solutions from places like magnex, milltek etc they all cater to euro cars.

Powerflow is a franchise so look for some recent reviews of the branch you are visiting before you go as the quality can be a bit hit or miss. Have you looked for an indy with a good reputation or asked on the Celica forums etc? I am going to infinity exhausts in Bristol for my 3" stainless exhaust replacement as there is no good off the shelf option either.

Yes i checked celica forums, alunox came up but is quite expensive and don't like systems that use a lot of welds over single pipe mandrel bends.

Im not sure how far you are from them, but MIJ performance in Walsall did a mint job on my full stainless cat back. Welds are top quality, even put on new polybush (I think so, theyre pretty stiff) hanger bushes. Loads of choice for backboxes and such too. Had it all done in a couple hours too.

Will check them out. Shame these sort of companies dont keep a build file so they can make a post one out when someone asks.

Did 3 of my exhausts over the years (2x RS6 and 1x Mondeo), all very good jobs at a reasonable price. There's some awful reviews from the late 2000's but since mid 2012 when I first used them they look to have been great.

I love the system they made for me, loads cheaper than the local powerflow too. Also the powerflow local to me has had some fairly negative reviews over the last few years.

So instead of going to the powerflow 13 mins away I went to MIJ 1 hour and 25 mins away. It was worth the extra drive.

Iv contacted mij via email but no reply yet. Booked in for pre inspection with local powerflow on friday. Will ask a bunch of questions and see if they got examples of their work.

mij got back to me today and quoted me cheaper than the powerflow dealer did which easily makes up for the fuel cost to go down to mij.
wondering if i should take them up on the offer for doing the cat back system.

Honestly, I would recommend getting their cat back system if you're able to. It will also make your car sound so much better (given the system isnt just basically an OEM replacement spec)

ok i will book it in with them and go cat back., seems to be lots of recommendations for mij where powerflow seems to be hit and miss.
Looks like im booked in for today

I've got a powerflow cat-back on my Celica T-Sport, seems ok but a bit boom/drone-y, so nothing special. Semi-interestingly it's quieter at idle than my MX-5 but louder at revs (not sure at idle but noise tested at Castle Combe it was 84 vs 92db)

I bought it as-is and assumed it was an off the shelf thing, surely it'd be crazy if they don't 'save' designs when they do them rather than doing a completely custom one each time?

Im not sure about powerflow but MIJ custom make each one each time. Mainly as you can spec the exhaust as you like pipe diameter, silencers, back boxes, tips.

all done now. sounds a little louder than stock system but main thing is its silent on the motorway no droning noises. mij exhausts im happy with would recommend.

Do MIJ have a Nissan Skyline engine in reception - If so I used that place years ago for a Yaris exhaust.
