Exorcism of Emily Rose...any good?

I am thinking of getting it, but not sure if its worthwhile to buy, would you guys recommend renting it or buying?

Its a decent enough film I would rent it then decide wether or not to buy it.

no. it could've been so much better. if you want to see it, watch the adverts. all the good bits are in there.

A true story from Germany 1974 iirc and re-adapted to Hicksville USA. Not bad. It's more enjoyable for being a court room as tnt Says than a Horror film

I'd rec. The Exorcist above it. Deffo one to rent 1st

I thought it was one of the worst films I've ever seen. Rather boring and just plain old not scary.

I listened to all the hype on the TV and from ads and stuff and was expecting a gorefest a bit like The Exorcism, perhaps thats why I was hugely disappointed?

Well after all the mixed views, mostly seemed to be negative I watched this.

Now I don't know what it is but films with a basis for truth (not including Amitivile Horror which is not based on much). But this film I enjoyed.
I suppose its a distanced ability to relate somethings. I enjoyed how the courtroom felt like it was a battle of Religions, one the religion known as Science and on the other Catholisim and the unknown.

Enjoyed this film, though it was not based totally on truth but had some elements related to the true story.
