Expanding Foam for small holes?

Hi all,

Wonder if you can help. I need some expanding foam to fill in some small holes problem is the tube supplied with most cans of foam is too big. I need to get into small areas. Is a gun the only option or is there a small nozzle available?

Can you not fashion some sort of nozzle from something else? Maybe a straw and some duct tape. (duck??)

Too big?, most expanding foams come with a tapered nozzle you cut off, the guns are about the same size as the middle so sounds like you need something smaller.

How about just filler to push into the holes, google onetime filler, it's a foam that hardens with paint

Hmmm, this is something I have been thinking about.

The rented propert I live in had some cowboys put a new back door (upvc) in and they did a half baked job putting it in, thus they have left a massive whole between the frame of the door under the carpet, thus leaving a nice gap for the cold to get in during the winter.

Could I fill this gap with expanding foam?

Not really, the foam in the cans i've been getting get clogged up easy in the supplied tube, i think if i attach some sort of adapter it would just make it worse.

I don't mean the actual length of the pipe, its the actual diameter of it. It won't fit in the small cracks I need to fill.

why not just polly filler or one of the many similar products. Same for OP, if it's such a tiny hole, unless you are trying to fill a large area behind it, just fill the hole with plaster.

Yes you could, however you will get a better finish with a filler

If it's on the floor, knock up some mortar and trowel smooth, foam is not good for vermin they can chew straight through it, they can chew through mortar but not as fast
