Hey.

Looking to get some work done to my exhaust.

I have had a nice down pipe fitted. This has made me consider the issue of my exhaust possibly causing stress on the new downpipe, thus thinking a flexi joint would be appropriate.

Does anyone know what I can expect to pay, for a garage or exhaust place to weld in place a flexible joint? It's 3" stainless

I an get clamp on ones off ebay super cheap... a little too cheap I think... so would much rather a decent one welded in place.

Let me know your expectations on prices!

I've had this sort of thing done for £20 before. It's a 15 minute job tops and the part wouldn't be more than £10 itself.

IIRC you're in Coventry? Mr Tyre on Gulson road near the uni / Elliots are quite reasonable.

Definitely a job to have welded, I wouldn't trust a 'clamp in' flexi not to blow from the joints readily badly that close to the turbo/engine.

Would expect to spend more than 20 quid myself assuming you want tidy welds, maybe £60-100 if they're taking the exhaust off the car to do the welding...

Yea. I thought welded would be best.

The part that seems to be good for adding the flexi into is the second decat pipe. Which can be removed very quickly.

I was expecting close to 100 to be fair. Especially for a decent flexi that won't die any time soon.

I have reached out to those places above. Not heard back yet.

Then again I'm currently In Thailand so many my messages haven't got through.
