Hi all,

Still in a bit of shock, but found out last night that I'm going to be a dad.

Done another test today and showed positive so am very happy albeit a bit shocked.

Just got to start planning things now.

Can't stop smiling, and though it was not planned, me and my partner are both very happy indeed.

Nice one.

For me, my kids are my whole world, and sometimes the bain of my life too.

But they are ace!

Thanks for all the kind words.

Lucky i suffer with slight insomnia, so i'm hoping that will let my partner rest when the baby is here.

We had a long discussion last night about it all and our choices, and we couldn't imagine having to get rid of something that we've created.

Just hoping everything goes ok, as it's still early days.

Congrats, my son is 5 weeks old but funnily enough when he wakes/ cries in the night i can never hear it, anybody else get this ?

My gf thinks i ignore but i genuinly don't hear him :(

What about work etc? I used to stay up until midnight, give him a feed and then my other half would do any others in the night - maybe one or two before I would have to get up and work. You'll struggle if you're doing all the feeds and then getting up in the morning.

Edit: Congratulations btw!

Congrats. How long gone do you think, don't want to be getting to many people involved too early.

Congratulations!

Enjoy your sleep now. Stockpile stuff, but don't go overboard buying everything the mags tell you to. Look after your lady, she's got some rough times ahead. Read up on everything, but keep in mind that you have to raise the child as you are happy to do so, so don't take things too seriously.
