Hi folks, i thought it would be a good idea to create a thread for people to post some off their top tips that they have picked up over the years. This may help less experienced forum members pick up knowledge.
some off mine are.
*Always buy a good quality psu.
*Buy a good monitor, please don't buy a gtx780 for a 22" tn panel.
*Flush out hosing as you would do for a rad.
*An unstable overclock is worse than no overclock.
*Test components outside the case before starting a new build (mobo box is good for this).
*You only need a pea sized amount of thermal paste for a cpu.
*Clean out (dust) your rig once a month.
*Use extra, slower fans rather than fewer high rpm fans.
*If on a budget buy an ssd before a hdd storage drive.
*Think about cable management. the 8pin atx cable goes behind the mobo tray. It pays to order an extension at the same time as buying a case.
*Don't copy oc settings from google searches.
*Eyefinity is great for production, not so much for gaming.
Please feel free to add your own. Or argue mine if you wish.
