evening...

have just failed an mot because my osr caliper is ****** so need a new one but was quoted £180 for a new one and it was suggested by the garage i find one myself and they will fit it for me.....

looking on ebay and googling etc and come across some part brokers where you enter your details and they send you some quotes back and some of them seem alright, i.e £50 and a 90 guarantee albeit its a used part...whats peoples views on using these companies or does anyone have any other places to look for a caliper? Car in question is a 1998 Nissan Primera GT,

thanks for any help!

IME for the sake of £100 brakes are not worth skimping on.

You could recon your old one if you want to save a bit, but you have to be careful and take your time.

thanks for that....anyone got any experience with them? seems quite cheep for a brand new/remanufactured unit

That's not cheap really. Recon front brake calipers for my CTR were about the same, maybe 10 quid each more from EBC.

again, cheers for your help on this guys! big red is £100 all in and i get £30 of that back when i send my old caliper back...

I ordered a pair of new calipers from Brakes Int. for the Manta after reading this thread last night (been meaning to do it for ages) and they are despatched and should arrive tomorrow via UPS.
