I'm after advice from those that have used this. Earlier this year I sprayed my exterior plastic grills etc using the black plastidip to achieve a matte finish. At the time plastidip did not do a glossifier in spray can form but on a recent visit to their website i found they have started doing it so now I've decided to add some gloss to my plastics.

My question is can I use halfords own clear lacquer (priced at roughly £7.50 for a 500ml can) or would I have to use the plastidip glossifier which is nearly £18 for a can on eBay? I've heard that the halfords one may not bond to the plastidip. I think the plastidip gloss is a bit overpriced really but if I have to use it then so be it.

If anyone has any experience of using this product can you shed some light. Thanks chaps!

Give it a try on some spare part ?

2 optons of doing it, plastidip it then let it cure up followed by laquer. Or plastidip and spray the lacquer straight after.

You only have £7 to lose tbh.

i've used the pastidip glossifier before, the finish isn't very good. it's not very glossy and you can't polish it to make it better.
