Recently RMAed a pair of E500 PTH due to cable sleeve split, sent in just the earphones and pouch and guess what I got back, a brandnew sealed SE530 PTH box, all in just 3 days!!!
Before this I had RMAed a pair of E5C (caused by my stupidity) and had nothing but the same fantastic service from Shure UK.
Whoever looking to buy a pair of IEM from Shure won't be disappointed in both aural experience and customer service.

And no, I don't work for Shure, just a happy customer :D

I also had my E4c's exchanged for some SE310's, so I sold them and got some E500 PTH's.:)

How do the SE530's compare to the E500's mate?

I had a quick listen for about 20 mins and first impression they sound the same!
The cable sleeve material is different, softer and seems more durable (the bit attached to the ear pieces).
Apparently E500's cable sleeve can be broken/crack/split due to extensive contact with sweat! In the States a few people had this problem in the first few months and mine did after 1.5 year! There was a big thread on Headfi.org about this and Shure USA offered to exchange the effected earphones for free (this was long time ago when E500 first released).
Only a few first batches suffered from this problem (I bought mine only 1 day after it was released). This doesn't mean that yours is going to have it so there's nothing to be worried about.

With their customer service, I'm not overly bothered anyway mate, I wouldn't turn my nose up at some SE530's.;)

Cheers for the info, much appreciated.:)

damn i just looked at them £270 for pair of headfones, i thought mine were expensive at £60

Well, I spent £350 on a pair of E5C and £320 on a pair of E500 PTH (considered a great bargain when it was first released), but trust me they are worth every penny.
