Im just wondering if theres any experienced battlefield2142 players here ?

or people that have played on this for a while and know the ins and outs of the game

i just need a bit of help with in game options ect

got some experienece myself...played in a couple of clans...but now prefer just to dot about different serevrs with some guys from here...
 
im ok, captain silver, done a fair bit over last 5-6 months, whats your situation? :D

add us to your ingame buddies from the [OcUK] 2142 clan thread, and get on the battlefield and we'll kick some ass togeather :cool:

I've been playing since it came out and love it. Originally had the demo and thought it was pants, but it grew on me hugely.

The most important thing is spacial awareness really, make sure you know whats going on around you and how to respond to threats. Instinct usually sees me chucking some grenades and pistol whipping some bad guys.

what do you need to know that cant be discussed on here? if its how to play the game or what unlocks to choose you need to play it and find your own preferences as everyone will advise you different, just dont neglect the player abilities over the weapons they are far more important and like in BF2 most 'stock' weapons are as powerful if not better than the higher tier unlocks

ideally, add members from here to your ingame buddy list and join a ventrilo/teamspeak, theres no need for xfire with 2142 ... squad up and follow your squad leader, you will learn the game quicker and have more success and more importantly fun .. and most importantly forget stats, they dont give any indication of skill and mean nothing

Yes, be careful focusing on stats. Lots of people just tank whore, or even cheat (that is kill + revive etc etc) and pad to get the points.
 
was playing in a squad yesterday where we were all talking on the mic and actually did good strategy wise! our team was getting wasted because of the usual reason of ppl all staying at the one outpost and forgetting the other outposts (we were all at harbour) so we lose lots of outposts and are forced back to our 2nd outpost.
Fortunately our squad has a good leader. We forced our way forward(up the ladder and across the gangway bit towards the toll station area) and our leader managed to get a beacon down on the roof on one of the buildings at harbour. So we take harbour no probs and run back and tack the toll station. We turned a sure defeat into a 20 - 40 reinf win :D Just through 1 squad co-op :)
