Experiences at Doha lounges for transit passengers?

For those who had a layover in Doha, did you use Al Maha or Oryx? What were your experiences?

I am in two minds in booking one since there are a lot of negative reviews of both. I have a 5-6 hour layover there on Monday so I'm wondering whether I should bother with a lounge or not.

I have used them several times, every time they have been full, and I mean, 'no you can't enter, yes I know you have paid in advance', but you can't enter.....

So what did you end up doing? This is my concern. I've read that you have to queue for the damn lounges. And this is going to be on a Sat afternoon/evening so it's probably going to be busy.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Am probably going to go with the Oryx Lounge since even with a waiting time it's got to be better than 5-6 hours in a dull airport.
