Im a fan of Lian-li cases. My main is i a v1000 plusII at present and Ive just snagged an original V1000Z for a nice price.

now I know that the plusII improved airflow by adding the side exhaust fan, does anyone have any experience with the original v1000? - does it need me to add an exhaust blow hole in the top/side of the case (ala v1000 plus), or are you running with OK temps?

Before I build into the new case I plan to cut some cable management and heatsink access holes in the mobo tray...BUT for those of you with a v1000, or with experience of one, if you had the chance to mod one before you built into it, what else would you consider?

I run a V1100 plus, rather than a hole in the side panel it originally came with a BS-01 blower that bolted on and exhausted air out through the perforations besides the slots. I've since had to take the blower at as it intermittently rattles, peak temps on my GTX 285 are around 82c, I'd be far more concerned with a non exhausting GPU cooler though.

Hope that helps.
