Hello Chaps.

I need some expert advice on which car to go for, I have decided to sell my Audi A4 2.0 TDI Sline 05 plate. Nothing wrong with the car mint condition but want a change

I have narrowed it down to 3 cars. I prefer a Coupé but I am thinking to move away from a diesel due to me not doing that many miles i average about 8000 miles a year.

I want something with some decent power 220-250bhp. I have narrowed it down to 3 cars.

BMW 330i or the 330D 10-11 plate but worried about DPF issues to short journeys

AUDI A5 3.0 Black Edition TDI, 10-11 plate I heard some Petrol versions were having issues.

Mercedes E350 coupe Diesel again. Not sure if Petrol version is available

I do very short journey to work and back everyday about 3 miles each way, but later in the week i do about 80 Mile return journey now and again.

Any advice would be appreciated as i am not that clued up on cars.
 
I'd go for the 330i but don't waste your money on an 11 plate one, they are exactly the same as the 58 plate onwards ones only more expensive - it's an old design that came out originally in 2005 anyway.

So just buy a 2009 model year car, so 58 plate onwards and save your money.

The 330d of that era will have the current N57 engine in it - I have this engine in my 530d and cover similar mileage to you without issues though every time I sit at the traffic lights I wish it was a 530i...
 
Cool, what is the servicing like? I was thinking of keeping it for about 5 years so thats why i was trying to get the most i can with low mileage
 
To be honest if you are going to spend 11 plate money you might as well find a bit more down the back of the sofa and buy the current F30 model - something like a 2012 328i.
 
Doesn't want diesel - narrows it down to 3 diesels :p

If you can't comfortably stretch to a 3/428i then I'd suggest getting an older 330i or 335i E92 and keeping the rest for when something inevitably breaks :)

If you don't need the rear seats, have you considered a Z4?

Actually, they changed the N57 engine again in 2011 but it didn't make its way to the E90/91/92.

You need an F30/31 for the latest N57D30O1 engine
 
Thanks for the info, Yeh i trying to avoid diesels but allot of the cars I want to have a look are all diesel. I dont mind them but i think DPF would kill me
