Hi,

I am getting married in 2 weeks time and I need to find a way to upload lots of pictures on the web for viewing and downloading and print.

Most of the picture in my camera are 2Mb file size and I want to know what is the best resolution to upload to the web?

what size I need for others to download and print with good quality? What size for simple web viewing?

Finally, what do you use to batch reduce images size? I want to learn how to create a script to do that in photoshop :)

Many thanks

Images at 800x600 resolution is a good size for web viewing.
I use ACDsee for batch processing images - resizing, renaming etc.. Photoshop just takes too long.

The minimum image size for printing depends how big a print they want. If it's A4 then something around 4-5mp should be enough.

The easiest way... ????

I would go here Smugmug, create yourself an account and upload. Does all the sizing, albums etc etc for you. Job Done, no messing about.

Alternatively, photobox will do a similar service. Hosting not as good, but better print service.
