Explain the Hovin joke?

Everywhere I turn on GD, I see jokes about loafs of bread. Anyone care to fill in the blanks and keep me in the loop?

But its to prove a picture you have taken is real and not one you have just lifted from google. So if you take it with a loaf of hovis everyone knows its real :p
 
I believe it started in Motors, someone was asked to get a picture of their car with a loaf of bread on it, to prove it was theirs.
Hovis in pictures is a standard way to prove ownership of an item.

No, somebody claimed a car with a sandwich on it proved it belonged to them.

Somebody else then showed a picture of a random car they didnt own with a loaf of hovis on it to prove how completely stupid such a notion was.

Everyone else then didn't bother to digest what happened properly, and there we have it.

Hurfdurf does MMA and likes to shoe horn his stand n bang phrase into any thread it's remotely relevant to :) others do it in jest
