Explain 'Zetec' to me.

So, Zetec is pronounced "Zee Tech", right?

How is "Ghia" pronounced? I always thought it was similar to "Gear" but I've heard it spoken as "Gaia"?

One's slang for drugs, t'other's a Goddess.

Now my brain hurts :(

How could it possibly sound anything like "gear"?

I pronounce it as "ghee - ah" and most people seem to agree.

Im pretty sure it should sound EXACTLY like gear ???

ghee-a

Excuse my probable misunderstanding of attempting to write phonetically :o

... Unless other people say "gear" differently ? :s

Gear - "Gea - er"
Ghia - "Ghee - ahh"

If you pronounce them exactly the same then you cannot pronounce your words correctly. That's the silly English accent for you :p

I have to say I do.

Its either you being NIrish, myself being english, or either local dialect maybe :p

Gear - "Gea - er"
Ghia - "Ghee - ahh"
Looking at that, you pronounce the end of "gear" with an "err" ? Which I dont, i pronounce it with more of an "a"

Awesome ad  :p .. but if i were to do a spanish impression, thats how I would say "gear" or "ghia" :p

I always thought the Ghia models were the luxury end of ford cars.

Softer seats, more features inside the car etc...

And i pronounce it Gee-Ah, but sometimes it does sound like Gear, thats accents for you, i dont even have one!

A pet hate of mine is the pronounciation of words such as 'gear' and 'fire' as if they have two syllables...
