Exploding CD's

whilst repairing a PC today it suddenly went bang during boot up, on inspection the CD in the drive had exploded ! I thought they disproved this on myth busters !

yes the drive bezel was slightly bulging out, a couple of small pieces came out, we thought the PSU had popped first or a cap gone on the board

the cd was only a few weeks old, it was a memtest boot cd, I keep loosing them or leaving them in customers PC's so I know it was that old and def not sun-dried

Or you could reject their reality and substitute your own

The one I saw was them trying to get one to shatter
