Well, not quite. But my house does now smell of burning electrics

Netgear DG834GT went pop in spectacular fashion, fortunately my trusty solwise SAR715 was in the loft. Plugged it in and off it went, no settings changes, nothing and its freezing cold!.

Anyway, I'm now in the market for a new router. Off to do some research, but in the meantime, any suggestions?

Needs to be
wireless g minimum
4 ports minimum
ADSL2+ be unlimited compatible (exchange upgrade next march Woo Hoo!! bye bye -net !!)
SPI firewall etc

Oh yes, gigabit lan if possible.

You get a bebox with Be, IIRC it is a Speedtouch 708L?? Anyway, a speedtouch 585v6 is a good bet, no gigabit though.

Thanks carter, been looking around and can't findd any with gigabit lan .

Only trouble with the Be box is you can only use 2 of the 4 lan ports (other 2 are reserved for other things apparently). I need to connect an Xbox360, PS2, HTPC, 2xNAS and a network printer . I've been looking around today and had decided to myself that the 585 looked good, great minds and all that
