Behind you... Naked!
My basic system is running Windows 10 Pro 64Bit.

I have started to get an error the last day or two that I have been unable to solve, and just about 15 minutes ago, I had another error popping its head up, that may or may not be linked.

Anyway, whenever I open a folder that has some Media files in it, an error window pops up.

It says with a window title of "explorer.exe - Aplication Error"

The instruction at 0x0007FF8E12D349d referenced memoy at 0x00000 ( lots of Zeros ). The memory could not be read.

Click ok to terminate.

Now, I have done the usual tricks of making sure that all my drivers are up to date, I have also gone back a few versions, just in case, and I have gone through the system making sure that there is no background junk messing my system about.

As its only the Media files that seem to cause this, I have tried to pin point exactly why or what types and it does not seem to care... DVDs do it when I open the VIDEO_TS Folder, and any others like MKV AVI or MP4 etc all seem to do it randomly too.

Anyway, before I format & Reinstall, I tought I'd ask you guys!

Seems like it's a memory error

The thought had occurred, however I am using 4x8GB Corsair and I recently upped from 4x8GB Team Elite ( hoping that I could clock it to hell like it did with the GSkill, but not happening ) and it does the same whether I use Corsair, Team Elite or GSKill.

Have you installed any 3rd party driver packs or anything like that? They are a disaster waiting to happen.

Also could be a 3rd party Explorer addin. CCleaner, Tools, Startup, Context Menu -take out the junk.

As a test, create another user account and see if it happens in that.

3rd Party = Disaster.
Aint they just. I used to use plenty of such tools, but no longer. I think that Win 10 has been an O/S that I have simply been paranoid with and I never installed somethign unless I actually needed it, and as time went on, I realised that I dont need anything really... O&O DeFrag, Virtual CloneDrive, VNC, Team Viewer, a couple pf others that I have used for years, but I do use these quite often. I have removed them while I do some tests of course, but the errors are still happening!

Another account? - no, I will do that and get back on the results...
