explorer.exe has been deleted

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can tell me how to restore it from an xp cd?
I ran "sfc /scannow" but despite taking forever it didn't fix the problem.
Also I tried to find it in a cab file on the cd but gave up, is there a way to search these files?
At the moment I have copied it off another machine but I guess ideally I want to restore the version from the CD.
If anyone can offer some help I would be grateful

Try repairing your XP installation with this CD, delete your current explorer.exe and then run it, should just replace it from the i386 on the CD/

Ok solved it myself

If you go into i386, copy EXPLORER.EX_ and rename to EXPLORER.EXE you can then extract the the actual explorer.exe from inside it using winrar
