Am coming from a new built machine which is fresh and clean. After finishing installing service pack 3 explorer is near unusable. It crashes on many stuffed pages and I get a kernel32dll error. Any idea what causes this? I dont have the same problem with firefox

Im not sure if u can remove IE at all. Try total uninstaller. Think i read/heard once that that is only program that managed to remove it successfully.

If you are still having problems uninstalling IE, then click folder Options, View tab, and enable "Show hidden files and folders".

Then pop into Add or Remove Programs from control panel and click on Show Updates.

Look through the list for Internet Explorer 7 entries and click to change/remove them.

Then, run the following command from a command prompt:

C:\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe

This should do the trick.

This should revert IE back to IE6 and it's orginal state.

I had a similar bug after installing SP3 as well. It would seem that there is a problem of some sort with one of the latest updates to IE. I have had lock-ups and general slowness with IE since i installed the damn thing. Going to do a reformat next week as i have a new mobo to fit but will not be installing SP3.

Before anyone says it. Yes i have tried Firefox and hated it!! I actually like IE.
