Exporting goods to EU - No customs duty if made in UK?

My product is made in UK, assembled, parts printed etc.

I've read that a majority of countries lower or zero the customs fees on imports if the product is made in the country of origin.

I've seen a EUR1 form, but I think this is for people actually crossing borders.

For a small postage product, would I just stamp made in UK on it? provide a GTIN number on an included invoice.
Would this work?

It depends on the value of the item, is it £5 or £5000? Also what kind of product is it ?

You need to make sure the export paperwork is in place, for the appropriate product category, just slapping a stamp on and sending it won't work, it needs to go through customs now, long gone are the days of logic, and sensible practice and frictionless trade I am afraid.

However you send it you'll need a customs label which details the contents along with the value

As suggested here, you will need to do this. Royal Mail use a CN22 form / label - I don't bother including the invoice etc. If you use Click and Drop online, you can pre-complete it and print with your shipping label.

In terms of customs fees, I'm not certain what the rules on origin are. I'm not aware of any custom fees being paid of items I've sent abroad (value < £15, country of origin UK). Of course, VAT will still apply and likely taken at the point of sale / marketplace you use.

Just a side point, since Brexit Royal Mail have been the easiest for me sending small items abroad - particularly paperwork side as its the one label / form I pop on the back of a jiffy bag. I recommend using them if you can.
