Exporting NWN2 Character?

Have just completed NWN2 again, with a different character, and was wondering if i export the character to use on the expansion pack recently released, what gets exported with the character?

Does their FULL inventorty including weapons/armour/rings etc get carried over, and any gold you may have?

I have a lot of nice stuff in my inventory, stuff that i don't always use, but may be good for other characters in my party, and was wondering if it will all be their when i export...

Any help much appreciated...

Hmm.. just tried it and it seems almost everything other than what you're wearing gets removed on import into MotB. Only seems to be the stuff you're wearing that goes through.

Ah right, if thats the case, better make sure i have all my best gear on before i export... Damned anoying, as i have loads of bags of holding full of nice gear to use/sell... oh well... btw, what about my gold, does that go too?

Just like in all the other games...Slightly OT but I played NWN2 and completed about 2/3 of it but I didnt finish. I have lost my saved game and I am wondering whether its worth completing the game before starting the expansion...

Hehe.. It's always a problem when you export a character in games, you never want to loose all the cool geat you found/bought...

I've got a 10th lvl Paladin mutliclassed as a 10lvl Divine Champion, so he is weak in some areas, and the gear i have on him buffs on some of his weak points, so i'd like to think he would keep that gear and still be strong in the expansion...

How do you know you were 2/3 of the way through it? I only ask because a lot of people, myself included, were pretty surprised by the length of it. I kept feeling like I was getting to the end and then finding that there was a lot more in there. IMO the game gets much much better at around the half way point. Everything from there up to the ending was brilliant I thought. The very end was a wee bit disappointing, but I still enjoyed it.

The expansion seems to stand pretty well on its own. I started a new char and had no problems with not using one of my original NWN2 exports. There are references back to NWN2 but definitely nothing major. There's a few things that would be major spoilers if you play MotB without having finished NWN2 though, so from that point of view it might be worth finishing it first.
