exporting old e-mails to new install.

Hi All

I am just in the process of upgrading my system, but in the past I always had my brother in law to help or rather do it for me, but since they parted ways I have to do it myself this time.

My question is, he used to copy files relating to outlook e-mail so once he had installed the operating system on the new hd he would copy those files back into the new outlook overwriting the new ones and when it was started it had all the old e-mails in the deleted, sent, and inbox. It's just I have a lot of e-mails for business related stuff that I would like to copy to the new compute for reference, but not sure what he copied or where he put them.

Its win 7 to win 7, so any info would be hugely appreciated.

Many thanks.

:-) Rick

You may find it more convenient to switch to IMAP in future, so that the mails are always on the server rather than locally stored on whichever machine sees the mail first. :)
