Something I have just stumbled upon via a r/bestof thread linking to this, wondering your thoughts?

(Reddit r/short) *Exact link removed due to swearing*

This led to this twitter account which shows girls opinions on "short" men (5'8 and under seems to be "short")

I'm 6'0 and seeing the abuse and general opinion of people who are short was pretty shocking, worse still, it seems ok to be short as a woman and despise short men.

I just did a quick ask around and it seems that yes, most girls wont date short men, am I just stumbling across this or has it been widely regarded for years as a known thing?

What's the matter herpderp, you mean it's not just white middleclass men that are prejudiced?

And yes, women seem to have a very big hang up about it, though I think it is diminishing slightly. I've never understood it personally, very perplexing. Thankfully at 190cm, I'm just about above average height (which seems to be growing massively) so it doesn't really affect me.

Same reason they won't don't ugly or smelly men, most don't find it attractive. Is this really news?

Never been bothered about being short in love or in life. It has provided a few laughs over the years when people have started on me for being a short-arse, they had a shock that I could handle myself. :)

Stop being offended for other people for Christ sake HurfDurf! :D

Are those girls for real?????

*Vomit*

Jesus, what nasty biatches they all are, and to say that in public is astonishing! Instant dating suicide to come out with such a disgusting personality revelation, silly trollops.

As handy as it is being 6'2" sometimes I wish I were a bit shorter.

Why? You're the same sort of height as myself and I wouldn't classify myself as tall. There are no disadvantages of being this height (along with no real advantages)

That's what I was trying to say. :D

Just reaffirms my belief that Twitter should be used as a screening tool for sterlisation. :)

5ft 8in here. I used to consider myself about average height but nowadays I do think I'm shorter than average, as the average has grown. Couldn't care less though.

im only 5'10 and never experienced any heightism.

Same here, im 5'10 which i think is average...my 2 younger brothers are both 6'2 themselves and everyone asks me what happened to me and my height. I just reply back saying they may have got the height but i got the looks and the brains:p:D

For the record i dont particularly like tall women and i couldnt date a woman taller than me without her heels. In her heels its fine but without them, if shes taller than me then goodbye lol.

Luckily for me my missus is 5'3 without her heels and 5'6 with them on, i like my women to be shorter than me in all honesty.
