Hi

I notice under battery that exposure notifications is taking a huge chunk of battery. My iPhone SE already drains quite fast, so trying to close things to help battery drain.

Do I actually need this enabled if I have the NHS covid app installed already or do they both need to be enabled to work?

The NHS COVID app needs this background service enabled in order to work. I’ve not had any noticeable battery drain from it though. How is your battery health?

Hi

Its been fine, since got a new phone and battery is excellent even with the NHS app installed, my old iPhone was getting old and the battery charge must have just been a bit rubbish.

Just checked my battery usage over the last 10 days and it looks like Exposure Notifications has been responsible for about 9% the usage. Not a unnoticeable chunk, and battery health is down to 83% anyway as it's a XS. Think I'll look at getting a replacement battery and stretch the phone's usage until the new models launch in 2022.
