Every now and again I look for a good external monitor solution for my Laptop.
I have a Dell m2400. It connects to a dock.
I have 4 x 1440x900 displays. At present two are driven by the built in nvida card. The other two are driven by two usb graphics devices by Startech I believe.
There are some minor, but annoying, issues with the usb devices. Aero doesn't work for example. They cannot be orientated correctly (I have them mounted in a 2x2 square, but windows treats them as 4 in a line).
And when I'm undocked Windows thinks the two usb adapters are still there.
So... I was googling last night and a product called ViDock or ViDock 4 looks real interesting.
But... does anyone know if it works/seen it in person. Or is there a another device I should be looking at.
I've already looked at Matrox DualHead 2 go.... from memory my Laptop dock does not supply dual link DVI for the necessary resolution. Sadly.
