ExpressCard TV Tuner...

Hey,

Just picked up a HP ExpressCard/34 DVB-T Tuner from the bay for a bargainalicious £14! It's a rebranded Yuan EC300 apparently, but I can't find any decent reviews or guides.

Just wondering if anyone has used this model, and what the best way to set it up would be.

I think that is the one I have with my HP TX-series laptop.......works fine with Vista MCE

Hmm I am gonna use it with my dad's Inspiron 6400 which has either XP Pro or Vista Business, so no Media Center

any suggestions on a good free program to use with it?

Also what sort of reception etc. do you get?

Hhhmm, dunno....only ever used it in MCE

Reception seems fine when plugged into my main home aerial, the supplied one is next-to-useless, as they always are......guess it depends on your Freeview reception.

MediaPortal used to be OK.
Or GbPVR.

Not tried either lately though.

Hey,

Not really wanting a full media centre front end. Just a small non-bloaty program that lets me watch DVB-T broadcasts (with EPG etc etc). PVR would be cool also I guess.
