Hi,

I think I have an Extended desktop failure of some kind that needs fixing ASAP!

Setup = sig

2nd monitor (Acer AL1914) yes generous 14" , which is actually 15" ect, works 100% as main screen & as a single screen, & also tested as external laptop screen, works perfect with a little wiggle of the very old vga 15 pin cable.

They both work 100% as single screens.
They both work 100% as clone screens.
They both DO NOT work 100% as extended screens.

When i use the extended desktop feature i do it thru the gfx card control panel as widnwos can be silly sometimes (1200p as main and 1080p as secondary)... are u trying thru windows or thru the ATI CC centre?

u say u can clone your monitors... i cant do that :-( i get a fail msg haha

I have resolved the issue now.

What I did was update the Intel Drivers to the lastest ones & then used the Intel Graphic & Media Control Panel, all options work 100%, both clone & extending.

I have my dvi monitor connected to the dvi on the m/b & my other monitor & lcd tv is connected to a splitter vga cable, that is then connected to my vga connector on the m/b.
