Extended desktop setup?

Hi guys, ive got a HP laptop here with a Mobility Radeon 9600 and Windows 2000 SP4 and the latest Omega drivers.

Im having trouble enabling extended desktop, i can get the plugged in TFT monitor to clone whats on the laptop screen but i cant get it to do extended desktop, when i click extended desktop in ATI tray tools it doesnt do anything. Also if i right click on the desktop and click properties, then settings.

It says multiple monitors on Mobility Radeon 9600 but the picture above only shows one so i cant select the second.

Does anyone have any ideas that can help me?

Sounds like you need to tweak the display settings a bit more. I've got what you want to run going on a Thinkpad with a Radeon 9000 on board.

In the advanced bit of the display control panel there's a monitor tab. I had to go in there and ensure that both the laptop panel and the TFT were enabled and then it gave me the option of picking which was the primary panel etc.
