has anyone else been getting an insane amount of these?

I don't think it is a scam. it may be from the company I had to register some of our appliences with to get a free extended warranty which has now expired and they want me to pay.

for about 6 months I am getting hounded Inc messages.on answerphone
I tried being polite.
eventually I got firmer.bordering on rude asking to remove my number
I tried blocking but they have multiple.numbers.
I never admit I am who they say I am and I have tried saying wrong number/no longer at this address.

so as a last ditch effort I have done something which may have worked.

when they phone I say one moment please I am not allowed to deal with this let me get someone who can help you someone will BRB, and then just leave the phone and see how long they wait.

I heard shouting down the phone for for wasting their time once (can they not see the hypocrisy?)

but after a few weeks of that the calls seem to have dried up

block the number?
like i said i have tried doing that but it seems they use a slightly different number each time.... but that being said..... my way seems to have worked as well and if it wastes their time for up to 5 mins waiting then that is 5 mins they are not spamming someone else so i am happy enough with that at this point.

Answer the phone then play different noises down it from a recording? :) They might get sick and remove your number from the list then.

Considering the amount of memes about 'we want to talk to you about your extended warranty' - i've never in my life actually received one of these calls.

Just don't answer it, a lot of the time they will only try again and pester you if they know the number is live and monitored.

Personally, those I want calls from are in my contacts, if it's not recognised it can go to voicemail and they can leave a message if it's important.

Stop answering, you keep getting bombarded with calls as your a 'active' user on their list. If you let it ring out they stop ringing.
