Howdy guys,
Quick question, is it possible to get a CAT6 coupler/adaptor kinda thingy to join two CAT6 ethernet cables together?
As I don't want to wirelessly connect my xbox/ps3 etc downstairs to my router upstairs (don't like the occasional drop in connection) I bought a 30M CAT6 ethernet cable. Well I was sure it would reach from upstairs to downstairs, but sadly it doesn't, and I am a few yards short of my switch.
So I'd like to join another CAT6 cable (which I have) to the end of my other CAT6 I have run through the house and then lob that in the switch.
Can I get an adaptor like this? I don't see anything like this on ocuk? I have seen a similar thing for a CAT5 cable, but I'd lose bandwidth with that wouldn't I?
Thanking you!
Steve
