Extending dishwasher/washing machine hot water feed

My new house has room for a dishwasher which my previous one did not. The washing machine is already in place under the sink and the space for the dishwasher is further away so the waste and hot water feed will not fit. I have sorted the waste but the hot water feed is causing me some issues.

I have a 1.5m hose extension and bought a plastic coupler to go with it. I'm finding the connection to the extension to be problematic. I read it's best not to use PTFE as the washers will engage better without out. However, I'm finding that it will start to leak. When I am tightening the feed to the coupler it will tighten then suddenly slip and become loose once again. Seems like there is a fine line between it being tight and becoming loose again and I don't have much confidence in it.

Here is the coupler and pipes in question:

I have to feed this behind kitchen cabinets so obviously I'm really worried this will leak.

Have I missed anything obvious? Are there any tips anyone can offer me?

Thanks, my next thought was to completely eliminate the join.

A lot of the 3.5m hoses seem to be for cold fill only and mine is hot. One ebay auction stated the max was 25 degrees where the hot water is likely to be significantly hotter.

Does anyone know if they would still be suitable?

Edit: Nevermind, found one for hot or cold. Cheers!

Luckily I found a cold water feed under the sink hidden away so went with a 3.5m hose. Thanks for your advice and help.
