We've got a fairly standard setup of wall sockets connected to a central patch panel (3 floors, 72 per floor). We want to move one of the patch panels to a rack on the other side of our server room, but the cables are not long enough.
Is there a good way of extending these cables without resorting to crimping an RJ45 plug on the end of each cable and using couplers?
Alternatively, I was going to keep the patch panel where it is and use a patch panel with RJ45 connectors on the back - has anyone used these before?
