I need to extend the range of a wireless router from one bungalow into another adjoining bungalow. diagram below.

So far I’ve got a cat5e cable from the router into a ZyXel homeplug and in the adjoining bungalow a cat5e cable going from the homeplug to :

A Netgear WG602 wireless access point and
a Tenda Wireless-G access point in “client” mode I'm pretty confident with the homeplug technology that its stable and constantly up.

I’ve tried both wireless access points broadcasting on channel 6, whereas the router is running on channel 1, but the extended range from the access point is unreliable and keeps dropping off.

Can anyone advise what I can try to get the wireless extended into the adjoining bungalow please?

are you sure the homeplugs work between bungalows as i thought they only worked on the ring main in one house (so for instance my neighbour couldn't plug in a homeplug and connect to my homeplug network)

what are the posibilities of stringing some cat5e cable between the bungalows to see if this works instead?

The homeplugs definately connect as i've successfully been able to contact the wireless access point from the router. I hadn't thought of trying to run a cable, but I will try it.....thanks.

its also been suggested to change the channel from 6 to 13 which the Wireless Access Point is broadcasting on in case there's inteference nearby.
