extending wireless range

hi, have wireless internetent, router is bt homethingy 1100, we now have a portacabin which is jsut outside the wireless range.

simplest way of extending the range?

In an area that currently doesn't have wireless coverage, plug in an access point (or router with DHCP disabled) by ethernet cable to the main router (or a nearby switch). Set the SSID and security to be the same as the main router, but put it on a different channel.

Wireless devices will see the two access points from the same network, and will just connect to whichever one has the strongest signal and will seamlessly switch between the two.
