Extension block master socket issue

Hi,

Wasn't sure where to post this but here goes.

I rebuilt my PC a few months ago with a Gigabyte Z97X-SLI - Devils Canyon Core i5 4690K, 16GB RAM. All was fine but I got an issue where sometimes it would not shut down and click.

Well I finally found the issue as an HD failed and I think the clicking was related to that, I had 1 SSD drive and 3 HD's, I have just replaced all 3 HD's with a 3TB WD Green drive.

I have a 6 way power extension block that has surge protection but also has the concept of a master socket which when you power the PC down it disconnects power to the other sockets, it would seem my PC is now too efficient on power as a couple of minutes after boot up both my monitors and speakers all power off.

To be fair this socket is a few years old, I wondered if you could recommend a similar surge protector which has the master socket concept as I quite like all my peripherals being powered down when the PC is switched off.

I have worked around it for now by plugging a 4 way block into the master socket ;)
