Extension cable

Morning, I have a question for any sparks I want to move tv,sky box, denon receiver,blu ray and sub that are all connected to a surge protector to the other side of the living room but their is not a socket there, would it be safe to buy an extension cable that would have to be about 10m to plug into socket then run the surge protector from the extension without burning house down

It will be fine as long as the extension has a fused plug.

Not thought about getting a few extra sockets fitted if it's going to be a permanent position for the tv.

thanks for the reply. we are going to have extra sockets down the line so its only a temporary thing for a few weeks
