Extension for 12v router power. A dumb question!

Hi all. This is likely a thick question! I have a Technicolor router but need to extend the power supply. An extension lead from the wall is not the answer as I want to hide it behind a shelf.

I have been looking for 12v extension cables and there are literally hundreds to pick from. I don’t know which to pick!

the information on the current power supply says:

Input 200-240v 50/60ghz 0.5a
Output 12v 3.2a

I’ve been looking at something like this, would it work or blow my basement up!
